Hey y'all, From the end of May I have upgraded my Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 7.0.1.325 to Kaspersky 8.0.0.257 (2009). I am very happy with it as my last version of KIS cannot recognize Indonesian made viruses. Just recently I download Firefox 3 Final, and have high hopes because my experience with Firefox 2.0.0.14 has been so pleasurable. I also use many useful extentions such as TabMix Plus and FlagFox However the same can't be said about Firefox 3. At first the #1 extention that I love which is TabMix Plus refuse to work as it's not compatible with it. Boo..Hoo..Hoo.. I am willing to sacrifice it as I am just so hyped about Firefox 3. After just 2 weeks of using it, my browser crashed more than 20 times! especially when opening yahoo! mail and google mail. I was wondering if my firefox 3 is still at beta stage, but after reviewing countless forums on the net, I stumble upon Raymond's Blog which clearly shows that Firefox 3 is NOT compatible with Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 version 8.0.0.357 which is the official version of Kaspersky posted in their website! The problem that is causing this phenomenon is the Kaspersky Virtual Keyboard which is very useful if you want to log in to information-sensitive website such as e-banking website. To temporarily fix this problem there a couple solutions: 1. Revert back to Firefox 2 2. Change your Antivirus (I think for people who have spent USD50 for this product should avoid this option ) 3. Install SysInternals Autorun and then disable the mzvkbd.dll in the Kaspersky program folder. This problem should only affect Kaspersky Internet Security user, not the Kaspersky Antivirus, because Kaspersky Antivirus doesn't have Virtual Keyboard. However, Kaspersky "forgot" to ditch the mzvkbd.dll from the Antivirus version hence, both KIS and KAV user got this problem altogether. Well for me, I chose option number 3, and it do works. Its just I feel ripped off because I have been a loyal user for both products. Now we just have to wait until Kasperky or Firefox released a patch or a new version to fix this matter.
